Meet Paul Gilroy, DDS

Dr. Paul Gilroy earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2017. He is originally from upstate NY and his uncommon path to dentistry began when he joined the Army and served as an infantryman from 2003-2009. Following military service, he attended undergraduate college and earned a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester in 2013. During college, Dr. Gilroy discovered dentistry as a career and was fascinated after talking to other doctors and shadowing. He particularly liked the comprehensive care model that he has adapted to his practice, keeping as many procedures in-house as possible.

Dr. Gilroy was accepted into the Health Professions Scholarship Program provided by the U.S. Army and after school he served as a dentist in the Army for six years. His experience as an Army dentist provided top notch mentorship and training in all restorative and basic surgical procedures. Following the Army, he has held two associate positions where he has furthered his knowledge in specialty procedures such as root canals and implant surgery.

After traveling to the west coast on several military assignments, Dr. Gilroy discovered the area fit with his active outdoor lifestyle. He looks forward to this great opportunity, getting to know the patients and treating their needs. When he is not in the office, Dr. Gilroy enjoys hiking and time outdoors, photography, going to the gym and traveling. He is always looking for suggestions on his next adventure and really enjoys the path less traveled.
